Introduction

I am a journalist, although I don’t work for a newspaper. I am a journalist because I keep a daily journal.

For years, my journaling was sporadic, kept up only during times of turmoil, when I needed a way to clarify all the distressed thoughts swirling in my head. I eventually realized that journaling regularly kept me on an even keel, and those turbulent life experiences became less troublesome and less frequent.

My journey to daily journaling and a greater sense of sanity has taken me over 30 years. I’m hoping this blog might help a few people get there a little sooner.
